What started as a crazy idea will become reality on March 21, 2024. The Sing to Change project connects students in Boston, US. and Boston, UK. through music. During the pandemic Dane Myers, an amazing multi-talented artist, took his song Change and made a video with more than 50 people from around the world singing.
We thought that we could take it one step further, and have children’s choirs singing the song. After all, kids know the world right now is literally on fire. The Come and Sing Company in Lincolnshire, UK, has turned out to be a perfect partner. Dane’ song was arranged for choirs by Olly Weeks.
The Sing to Change Project: Boston to Boston team (including Scruffy Bear Media) is producing a documentary showing each step of the process and creating educational materials alongside the music resources. These arrangements and scores for Change will be available to schools and other choirs to use for free in the future.
